Carlie Wong Atelier Couture Show

I recently attended the FASHION.SHOW.FASHION.SHOW event at the Vancouver Urban Winery and I have not shut up about it since. Attendees were treated to the first ever couture line created by Vancouver's very own fashion Goddess, Carlie Wong. There were a few surprises preceding the show which only added to my school girl-like excitement. First, the beautiful Erin Cebula from ET Canada was announced the celebrity host for the evening. Second, the runway would also be unveiling Carlie Wong Bridal Wear. Mix in a few breathtaking performances from Soul R&B star Warren Dean Flandez (seriously, the man has the voice of an angel) and you have one kick-ass event!

Do I even need to say how stunning these garments are? I mean really! Give me a pair of pumps and a fringe clutch and I will strut around town in one of these works of art in a heart beat. There was lace, there were feathers, floor sweeping fringe detail, chiffon, and lots and lots of skin! I honestly cannot refrain from the use of exclamation marks right now!!

All in all, it was an evening well spent. I met some great people, gazed at delicious designs, supported fabulous Vancouver talent, and raised some money. All proceeds went to the F-Cancer Charity so I thought it would be very rude of me not to partake in a few glasses of wine. *Thought bubble* - I am such a good person!
