STYLE MUSE - Michelle Violy Harper

Circle hat and laser-cut plexiglass necklace by Parisian design team Yazbukey.
I recently discovered my current style muse in some photo's with the legendary Anna Della Russo and I must say that I'm pretty excited to share her (and her wardrobe) with you! Michelle Harper is the co-founder of multi-million dollar cosmetic company CB LLC, CEO of Darac Beauty and sits on the Couture Council at FIT in New York. Michelle is the perfect example of a "trend-setter" and a woman of importance in the fashion scene.

Some might regard her as a socialite but, in my opinion, she is an entrepreneur. I mean, the woman actually works. Yes, she attends many high profile events but she does much more than just gallivant from one exclusive gala to the next. And even if you think she is a complete party fixture, she still looks amazing!

It seems as though she has been inspiring many more than just myself. She has played the muse for designer Victor de Souza for quite some time. Click HERE to read an interview Dossier did with the two a couple years ago.

Michelle was also selected by Elle Magazine to be featured in the March issue as "New Muse". This shoot that was directed by Tim Richardson with creative direction from Nicola Formichetti and the video is drool-worthy! Check it out HERE.

I read a recent interview Michelle did for The Telegraph and when she was asked about her golden style rule, she couldn't have responded with a more perfect answer. She said, "Use style as a means of personal expression and improvement. It should never make you feel bad like you don't have enough, or you're not on trend enough, that you're not good enough. Fashion should make you feel strong, happy and good." I know... Genious! Right? That is exactly what I would want the world to hear in regards to fashion. Especially to those who have warped their intimidation of fashion into a complete disregard and ignorance towards the lifestyle. Check out the full interview HERE.
